What is God doing at this point in time? Give up your privilege and do what God is doing.
Who do you want leading the charge in undoing injustice and defeating racism? Shouldn’t it be the people of God?
God gave up everything to serve you in the man Jesus. We should follow that example.
God is turning to the inner cities of America to fix the pain and destruction of violence and oppression and bring revival and reformation.
What are we to do with money? Acts 20:33-35; Eph 4:28; Luke 14:33;
to die for someone is much harder than laying down your life for someone
1 John 3:16-18
greed – Hebrews 14:5; 1 Timothy 6:6-11; 2 Tim 1:3-5
the bible clearly opposes the prosperity gospel – preachers of this gospel don’t live it. The focus is on people receiving money, not on the Kingdom. Adherants would not be qualified as elders according to scripture.
Matthew 19:16-24 – It wasn’t simply that the rich man had stuff, but that he valued that stuff more than the Son of God, who was standing right in front of him.
